2023 Listening Biennial – Tambayan
I was invited by Associate Professor Dr Dayang Yraola of the University of the Phillipines in Manila to participate in the 2nd edition of the international Listening Biennial curated by Guely Morato (Bolivia), Lu\u00edsa Santos (Portugal), Rayya Badran (Lebanon) and Dr Yraola.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dayang coordinated a week-long Tambayan series where various artists spoke about and presented listening experiences of their work. Tambayan is a Filipino word for a casual place to hang out, catch up and chat. The session in which I presented online to a live audience on 10 July was titled ‘Listening in\/to art in\/and\/with technology’.
