I was born in 1957 in Meanjin\/Brisbane, and have lived and worked in Gadigal\/Sydney since 1981.

I\u2019ve been an artist and art worker for 40+ years with a self-taught background in experimental filmmaking, visual arts, photography, music and sound art, digital media production, natural sciences, poetry and buddhism.

I worked as an experimental films Project Officer at the Australian Film Commission between 1985-93, developing and running Australia’s first funding programs for electronic media arts. In 1991-92, I was Chair of the Coordinating Committee and Co-Curator of TISEA, the Third International Symposium on Electronic Art staged in Sydney. <\/span>

From October 1993, I collaboratively developed and executive-produced all exhibition multimedia for the 1995 opening of the innovative Museum of Sydney project curated by Dr Peter Emmett.<\/span>

In 1996, I worked in Naarm\/Melbourne as one of four invited Creative Producers developing the new Melbourne Museum campus at Carlton Gardens.<\/span>

In 1997, back in Sydney, I established <\/span>CDP Media<\/a>. I worked<\/span> as creative director and collaborator on diverse cultural projects in museums, art galleries, visitor centres, and botanic gardens across Australia, and a few international projects. I was twice involved in delivering Australia’s representation at the Venice Biennale (2001 – Lyndal Jones; 2008 – Australia Abundant (Architecture Biennale)). I wound up CDP Media in 2024.<\/span>

I maintain my solo art practice and work on collaborative projects with contemporary art colleagues.\u00a0<\/span>

Since 2015, I’ve taught experimental drawing and digital media at the National Art School in Sydney, and have developed and run workshops in autonomous drawing machines there and at the University of Technology, Sydney and Monash University’s Sensilab.<\/span>

I am a current board member (2024-25) of DRAW Space<\/a>, an artist-run platform to make, see and experience contemporary drawing; and a member of the improvisational sound art trio CHORDATA, and the audiovisual digital media trio Ochromosonico.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
